Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in drafting, editing, and proofreading compelling proposal sections in response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) while ensuring seamless integration with the overarching proposal narrative.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide proposal management support.
- Analyze government Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quote (RFQs), and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to determine proposal requirements.
- Create kick-off slide decks, proposal calendars, outlines, and templates.
- Work with leadership to develop strategies, win themes, discriminators, benefits, risk mitigation to develop compliant and well written proposals.
- Provide regular proposal status updates to executives and key stakeholders.
- Manage and work with key subcontractors to gather necessary past performance documentation.
- Draft and submit questions to clarify all proposal requirements for submission.
- Review writing by teammates, as well as completed proposals for quality, coherence, clarity, and compliance with RFP/RFI/RFQ requirements.
- Raise critical issues and recommend solutions and alternatives.
- Develop and maintain various proposal management tools, including compliance matrices, document archives, proposal outlines, and narrative templates.
- Organize narratives, graphics, and proposal resources on the company SharePoint.
- Perform proofreading/editing services as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience with technical writing/proposal writing in a professional corporate or related environment).
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Advanced knowledge of the Federal Government procurement process and experience developing RFI and RFP responses is desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Setting and Environment:
- Normal working hours Monday - Friday.
- Work is to be performed off-site (remotely) until further notice.
