Job Summary:

The purpose of this work is to resolve backlog cases in relation to Backlog FOIAs and Privacy Act requests and provide entry, tracking, reporting and analysis support.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting record searches.
  • Data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Written analysis and documentation on the search criteria used to create the reports.
  • Data validation and annotation of data exceptions.
  • Analysis of cost of the organization's service delivery and provider reimbursement; • FOIA and Privacy Act documents processing.
  • Determination of the applicability of FOIA exemptions to records
  • Technical analysis of health care financing and delivery requirements associated with responding to DHA FOlA requests; 16 Backlog PWS.
  • Preparation of correspondence and other communications associated with the FOIA.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience.
  • Be knowledgeable of the laws pertaining to FOIA, the Privacy Act, and when to apply exemptions.
  • Must know how to use all functions in FOIAXpress.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with FOIAXpress.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with FOIA requests.

Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal hours. Must be available between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM EST.
  • Onsite, FOIA Service Center in Falls Church, VA.
  • On-site federal contractors, in federal buildings or on federal lands must comply with CDC guidelines with respect to wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and other public health measures.
