Job Title: Sound Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a sound engineer who can help take public perception of our government customer, 1st Cavalry Division, to the next level. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with Public Affairs Office (PAO) and marketing team to determine the requirements and specifications of recordings or performances
  • Ensuring high quality recording and production of audio products related Public Affairs projects
  • Performing audio recording, processing, and mixing
  • Providing understanding of next gen console audio functionality and capabilities

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A favorable National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) investigation OR a valid Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in sound engineering or 2 years of experience as a sound engineer or in related field
  • A strong sense of sound engineering with a strong portfolio
  • Audio recording, processing, and mixing skills
  • Understanding of next gen console audio functionality and capabilities
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal business hours
  • Work is to be performed at 1st Cavalry Division Headquarters, Building 28000, Battalion Ave., Fort Hood, Texas
  • On-site federal contractors, in federal buildings or on federal lands must comply with CDC guidelines with respect to wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and other public health measures
