Job Title: Contracts/Acquisition Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Federal Contract Specialist who would perform a wide range of contract management tasks, including the onboarding of new contracts and customers, and entering and maintaining contract data in FedWriters systems. The perfect candidate will have the ability to help federal and commercial customers with recommendations and regulations around acquisitions regulation. Responsibilities Include:

  • Applying knowledge of contract management and acquisition principles, techniques, methods, and procedures to perform pre- and post-award procurement actions, including negotiation, as well as all aspects of contract administration
  • Researching and interpreting federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies
  • Developing, reviewing, editing, and/or providing recommendations for federal and commercial contract management and acquisition policy, including templates and supporting documentation
  • Assisting with the implementation of contract and acquisition policy, process, and procedure; providing support and education to stakeholders
  • Managing all aspects of contract administration, including, but not limited to:
    • "Shredding" of new contract awards
    • Setting up of internal databases
    • Identifying contract sections for each applicable/responsible department (Accounting, Security, PM, etc.)
    • Reviewing modifications.
  • Leading internal and external (customer) contract kickoff meetings
  • Maintaining primary accountability of all contract files, including associated documents (solicitation, official communication, etc.)
  • Auditing/QC files on a recurring basis
  • Performing quality control to ensure contractual compliance
  • Assisting the Program Management Office and Accounting Department with identification of risk, including contract end dates, required modifications, funding issues
  • Driving solutions, providing recommendations, and engaging customer contracting officers as required
  • Performing subcontract management, to include:
    • Creating and redlining of subcontract agreements
    • Incorporating gov't flowdowns for contracts
    • Issuing modifications
    • Work in conjunction with accounting to ensure tracking of hours/funding/ceiling issued to subcontractors
  • Work in conjunction with the BD/Proposal team shred new solicitations, evaluate, and provide recommendations for no/bid decisions. Create, review &/or edit NDAs, Tas, and SOW/PWS. Assist with contractual requirements for proposals such as cover letter, reps & certs, and other standard forms and attachments. Review proposals to ensure compliance with Sol/RFQ requirement

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be United States citizen
  • 7+ years of applicable experience in contracts management or administration, with at least 4 of those years working as either a federal employee or government contractor
  • 4-year college degree from an accredited university
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Familiarity with federal contracting policy, rules and regulations, including, but not limited to:
    • DCAA Contract Manual/Requirements
    • SAM
    • FAR
    • JTR
    • GSA
  • Experience with MS Office Products, including SharePoint


  • U.S. Government clearance
  • Member of NCMA
  • Familiarity with CMBOK
  • Understanding of how to build or price cost proposals
  • Experience tracking fund burning

Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal business hours
  • Work is to be performed remotely
  • On-site federal contractors, in federal buildings or on federal lands must comply with CDC guidelines with respect to wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and other public health measures
